Portsmouth: Space City fireworks 26th June....

Popped down to Castle Fields to catch the firework finale of the Portsmouth: Space City. Made it just in time - the display was....OK. Only lasted a few minutes but gave me a chance to mess around with long exposures -  here's a few images:

  A little disappointing but I guess we get used to ever more spectacular displays with the attached spectacular price tag....

7 Boathouse Christmas parties.....

Wow, mid June and talk about Christmas parties already ! Last December we did a number of pirate themed events at the Boathouse Number 7 in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard which were hugely successful. Loads of people entered into the spirit and came dressed as pirates - never seen so many Jack Sparrows and Elizabeth Swans ! The food and disco were great and the added touch of the role-playing pirate actors made the evening.  The photo studio we set up was popular and busy throughout the evening as people took the opportunity to be professionally photographed. Well, this year, the Boathouse will be holding a similar themed event - this time it's Robin Hood and his Merry Men. The theme nights are every Friday and Saturday in December so take a look at the advert below and why not book it for your company ? See you there....

Alresford 10k.....

Last Sunday we photographed the Alresford 10k - very soggy day it was too ! As ever I cobbled together some camera wet weather protection which worked OK but didn't look very professional ! Think it's time I invested in some purpose-built stuff....if anybodys used the Kata kit before any feedback would be good

Food.....

Did a food shoot at number 7 Boathouse, Portsmouth today. Took a couple of hours photographing the creations but had some technical issues with the flash/camera which needs sorting - to the tune of £300 apparently !! Beautifully prepared dishes which looked really impressive - here's a few images from the shoot:
