Technique....
After completing Katie and Lukes wedding selection thought I'd try out a new technique for property photography using Enfuse software combined with a blip of flash - so, I set up in my (slightly untidy I must admit - I wouldn't shoot a "real" kitchen like this !) kitchen and took eight exposures of 1 stop difference and 1/8th power on my flash. This is the blended result.....
....which I kind of like - it looks natural, clean and fresh and importantly pinsharp but without any annoying shadows or hotspots. If I was looking at this as a prospective buyer I'd feel it would make me more keen to view the property than a heavily flashed, hand held snap with converging walls that are so common on Rightmove these days.I'll probably use this on my next house shoot but only on the kitchen and lounge at the moment as it could be too time consuming to do every room unless they are impressive features though.
Tech details: Nikon D810, 14-24 f2.8 lens set at f7.1, ISO 64 (yep, 64 !), hyperfocal focus 2/3rds into scene on manual focus, shutter speed 1/60th and one stop increments down...
